At Marshall Family Dentistry, our knowledgeable dentistry team is always happy to answer any questions you may have. Please don’t hesitate to contact us, if you ever need more information about your oral hygiene routine or other dental care issues. Below, you’ll find the answers to some of the dental questions we hear most often, but we’re always happy to further discuss any of your questions or concerns over the phone or during a dental checkup.
In keeping with the recommendations of the American Dental Association, we encourage patients to visit our office at least two times each year. These six-month checkups allow our team to partner with patients in preventing common oral health concerns and allow for the early diagnosis of those issues that cannot be prevented.
We welcome all ages in our family dentistry practice, and that includes kids. We offer a variety of treatments to assist children in developing whole, healthy smiles, but more importantly, we provide treatments that encourage young patients to feel comfortable in the dentist’s office.
Often referred to as gum disease, this common oral health condition affects millions of US adults and has been linked to numerous adverse oral and overall health effects. We offer a variety of periodontal therapies to renew oral health following gum disease.
Dentists are able to provide minimally invasive, comfortable treatments for sleep apnea sufferers. Rather than the bulky, often unused continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) system, we craft custom oral appliances that shift the jaw forward. This repositioning places pressure on the throat muscles to keep the airway clear.
We are always here to help whenever patients need us most. We’ll be happy to offer same day emergency dentistry appointments in most cases for patients of record, and we’ll walk you through first aid and pain management over the phone in the meantime.
Minor tooth movement, or MTM, is an orthodontic system that allows us to adjust the alignment of teeth that are only minimally misaligned. This treatment is ideal for adult patients who just want to improve the cosmetic appearance of their smiles and for the retreatment of patients who have experienced the shifting of teeth following orthodontic treatment.
We would be happy to process and file dental insurance claims for most major benefit plans to help patients maximize their coverage. However, it’s important to us that patients know and understand that the treatments we recommend will be those that most benefit their oral health regardless of insurance coverage.
